OUR STORY.
For over 40 years, we have been a leader in dance education in the Delaware County community.
CCSD Dance Company was founded in 1984 by Cathie Collins and was formerly known as Cathie Collins School of Dance. Our dance community began in Aldan, PA and grew to include a second studio in Glen Mills, PA in 2010. Miss Cathie established a wonderful learning environment for quality dance education, but also created a second family for each of her dancers. Miss Cathie was an accomplished teacher who passed her talent and love for dance to her faculty and students. CCSD has received national recognition at major dance competitions receiving High Score, Best Overall Performance, and Best Choreography awards. The talents of Miss Cathie, her amazing faculty, and students will continue to be on full display during our annual recital which has amazed our audiences for more than 35 years.

Sadly, our dance family lost Miss Cathie in October 2022 following a battle with cancer. Jenna DeVito, Miss Cathie’s niece, is the new owner and director of CCSD Dance Company. Jenna, her sister, Jessica Cicione, and the rest of the CCSD staff will continue to share the love of dance their “Aunt Cathie” instilled in them. CCSD continues to be the same family owned dance studio providing strong values and superior dance education in our Delaware County community.
We look forward to sharing our love of dance with you as CCSD.

WHY CCSD?
CCSD Dance Company offers a high quality dance education in a supportive, family-oriented environment at an affordable cost. We have a stellar reputation in regards to the excellence of our annual recital and each year continue to provide a top notch show that the audience enjoys. We focus on developing our students to be self-confident, professional, and resilient individuals. At CCSD, we provide an environment where their passion for dance can flourish and students can develop an appreciation for all performing arts.
We have a demonstrated history of success in developing the talents and natural abilities of our dancers whether they choose a professional career in dance or not. Our dancers have gone on to become professional dancers, pursue dance as a part of their education on a collegiate level, open their own dance studios, become dance teachers, among other industry related career paths. Others do not choose to continue dance professionally, but are welcomed with open arms to continue their dance journey at CCSD, both as teachers and students.
